2023 WINTER CORNHOLE LEAGUE CHAMPS
Congratulations to Barry and Tyler Wright for becoming the champions of the 2023 winter cornhole league in the Westfield Rec. Dept. This is the fourth championship overall and the third consecutive for the Wrights. Their first championship was in our spring session of 2021 and their second championship was in our winter session of 2022, followed by their championship in the fall session of 2022. They're both the first team to win consecutive championships, three championships in a row and 4 overall in the history of the cornhole league. They have created a dynasty and are the most dominant team in league history!
For the season, the Wrights had a record of 16-2, and their only losses came via forfeits when they could not attend one night. They defeated the team of Herb Maddox and Chandler Smith in the championship. Maddox and Smith finished the season with a record of 16-4. They keep getting a little closer each season to a championship. The team of Ken and Walter Parker finished in third place with a record of 12-6. It was their best ever finish in their history of playing in the league.
Thanks to everyone for a great season! We had 15 teams participate this season. Our next session of the adult cornhole league will tentatively begin on Wednesday, October 18th and will end on Wednesday, December 13th. The league is on Wednesday nights at 7:00 at Eason Hall.
