The YWCA Westfield's long-time partnership with Westfield Academy Central School will be celebrated on Arbor Day, April 27 at 1:30 p.m. The YWCA After School Program's Fourth Graders will take part in the planting of a Friendship Tree in Moore Park. We would like to give back to the community by planting this friendship tree to signify how friendships can grow and blossom to their fullest potential. Westfield Nursery has donated the 12 foot Eastern Redbud and will prep the site for planting. Westfield Nursery will make a presentation to the students and David Spann, District Field Manager of Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation will present the Fourth Graders with seedlings. The YWCA After School Program hopes this Friendship Tree will inspire others in our community to plant a tree this Arbor Day. We invite community members to come to Moore Park and help us celebrate!
